Last year my husband and I got a divorce.
It wasn’t as messy as I thought it would be, but it was still difficult for both of us.
When all was said and done, I kept the house and my husband found a new place to live. I knew he’d be able to transition into something different easier. He still wanted our kids to have a nice home to stay in when they visited their dad, but he had to find something hastily. My ex husband didn’t have much time to decide on something, so he moved into one of the first options he found. I knew it probably wasn’t the best place, but he didn’t have much time to decide. When he moved in, apparently he couldn’t find the thermostat to turn on the air conditioning. He searched all over the house for hours, but eventually had to call his new landlord to see where the thermostat was situated. Apparently, his new landlord said the place didn’t come with any Heating, Ventilation or A/C system. When I heard this, my jaw basically hit the floor and I was shocked. I couldn’t believe my ex husband found a home that didn’t have a Heating, Ventilation plus A/C plan installed. He was insisting that the landlord hire a professional to install a Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system, but I knew that wasn’t how it worked. I still can’t believe he was dumb enough to neglect the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system when finding a place to live. I just assumed that everyone knew the importance of heat and air.
