When I accepted our dream job in the city, I was happy to find any apartment.
As someone who grew up in a small town, I’d constantly thought about residing in a bigger building with incredible views of the town.
I had photos saved on our phone of what I was looking for plus how I would style the inside of it. Thankfully, our new supervisor recommended the best real estate agent in the town plus they understood exactly what I was looking for. We only had to tour a single home before getting onto a single year lease. The best part was that it was under our desired budget, so I was glad to shop for decor with the added currency. After a few weeks in our modern apartment, I observed how hot it got inside. If I didn’t keep our a/c working at 73 degrees while I was away at work, I’d come home to a hot plus stuffy apartment. I could really feel the heat increase as I’d go up the elevator. When it poured, the heat plus humidity was suffocating. I’d been looking forward to keeping our windows cracked plus letting the cool breeze flow throughout, while feeling on top of the world. I hastily noticed that I had to keep the temperature at 70 degrees plus use our portable fan to get the air moving. I couldn’t sleep at night without the fan. When I got our first energy bill, I was upset with how much that it was.
